r3.O 2026 - Weave +Dispatch on Bioregional Sisterhood connecting Uruguay and Norway

We are very lucky at StoryMoss and grateful too. Grateful for the Sun and the Moon, the wind, water, the birds and all sentients beings and for our work with regenerative (rewidling) women (and men and more-than-humans) all around the world. This is a special story here that we would like to share with you now. It comes in two episodes. It is the first and a biocultural, biospiritual angle next in Episode 2 on Monday September 7. We met Magdalena and Katy separately last year through our regenerative storyweaving work at the Design School and our covering of r3.O Conference + Confluences (small bioregional groups watching the Conference together locally.) Katy Chada was born in Argentina, she is an architect and a system designer. She now lives on a farm near Trondheim, in the Midt Norway bioregion surrounded with beautiful watersheds and fjords. Magdalena Urioste, a dear friend too, lives on the ranch that she cares for with her partner husband rancher Santiago Urioste in Las Pampas, Uruguay. Magdalena raises the Brangus cow as the keystone of her more-than-humans community. She just shared with us that in preparation for El Niño she decided to sell many more cows this year so that they can be on safer ground. Katy and Magdalena were curious to meet and share about their land, their bioregion, their work and bioregional vision. 12,000 kms separate them and their life on the land. It felt like we all knew each other for a long time or from another time. The power of ancestral land lineage and Kinship love.

Bioregional practice encompasses physical, emotional, mental, cultural and spiritual work, we call it "biocultural" and /or "biospiritual". It helps practionners come closer to simple life and heart qualities connected, inspired, related to the land, the water and more-than-humans. It is mostly overseen in our modern urban living. When the land, watershed, rivers, insects, migratory birds, 4 legged beings are the connections to our collective heart, when they form the shared vision of protection and preservation with loyalty and patience, bioregional friendship can freely blossom and create wonders and healing magic for all.

At StoryMoss Weaving Agency, we are inspired by bioregional interweaving and "bioregional twinning" of lands and peoples who may be physically far away from each other but close in their heart and one in our collective heart. It takes hard, devoted and patient collaborative work to bring universal healing. We rejoice. Doing it together, in pro-social groups, small like-minded communities but always included the isolated one, the weakest one, the shy one, like mothers do, sisterhood netwworks following animal and plant intelligence are key to harmony. Their eternal work that we often took for granted. When groups of women join force and creativity in a playful, fun, caring way to work on a shared goal , cooking and dancing, bioregional sistershood is on stage and shines beautifully. The energy is contagious. It is about cherishing love for all living beings and JOY, inner and outer. Inner and world peace. It is about CARING.
